Our bartenders, our stock, our licence. Mocktails through the afternoon and the full cocktail list after dark, at the same prices your guests would pay at the bar.
Food next door
MLO Café & Kitchen shares the address and cooks for events here. You order through them, we make sure it lands while the room is still full.
A page, a link and a poster
Once it is confirmed you get an event page people can RSVP or buy a ticket on, a short link for the flyer, and a poster, table tent and scan cards you can print yourself.
Behind Hackhouse
The builders, founders and engineers of Hackhouse are through the door. Run a meetup here and the room is half full before you invite anyone.

124 Manyani East Road, behind Hackhouse, Nairobi. The hall on this address seats 140 and is Hackhouse’s to hire out. The courtyard and the bar are ours. Most nights here are one of those two, and a good few are both.

- Where exactly is The Yard?
- 124 Manyani East Road, Nairobi, behind Hackhouse and through the same gate. There is no sign of our own on the road yet, so aim for Hackhouse.
- How many people fit?
- It depends what the night is, and we would rather see your numbers before promising a room. The hall next door seats 140 and belongs to Hackhouse, who hire it out themselves; the courtyard and the bar are ours and suit anything from twenty people around a laptop to a full launch. Tell us the headcount and we will tell you honestly whether it works.
- What does it cost?
- That depends on the night, the space and how long you need it, so we quote rather than publish a price list. The bar runs at the same prices your guests would pay on any other night, with no event mark-up.
- Can we bring our own drinks?
- No. The bar is ours, with our stock and our licence, and it is the part of the night we run for you.
- Is there food?
- MLO Café & Kitchen is at the same address and cooks for events here. It is a separate business, so you order through them and we make sure it arrives while the room is still full.
- Can we sell tickets?
- Yes. Your night gets a page on this site that takes card and M-Pesa, and the door scans the tickets. If you already sell somewhere else, we link to that instead and say so plainly on the page.
